"Cornejo & Sons Bring Visibility to Crime Stoppers"
Vol. 5, 2009 www.wsccs.com

Cornejo & Sons has brought new awareness to Crime Stoppers by creating a rolling billboard for the non-profit organization.

Earlier this year, several members of CS board approached the company about putting Crime Stoppers decals on the company's fleet of trucks and other equipment, said Jim Todd, board president. The decals feature the Crime Stoppers name and phone number.

Ron and Marty Cornejo and Randy Roths took that request a giant step further. They said they also would repaint one of their large concrete mixer trucks with the Crime Stoppers name and phone number on the rotating drum.

"In essence, the truck will be a rolling billboard for Crime Stoppers, encouraging citizens to report crime, as it travels the streets and highways around Sedgwick County," Todd said. "The company's willingness to put the decals on its approximately 275 vehicles and paint the mixer truck underscores its commitment to being a solid corporate citizen."

CEO Ron Cornejo said, "An important part of corporate citizenship is working to help make the community a better place to live and work. By working with Crime Stoppers, the Wichita Police Department and the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, Cornejo & Sons hopes to help lower crime and make Wichita and Sedgwick County a more safe and secure community."
